Success Story: We Yone Secondary School
A Beacon of Hope in We Yone Secondary School
WYCF opened its first Secondary School in the George Brook community on the 9th of September, 2024. The four sections story building school was built by WYCF with the support of our generous donors and partners. The school has the capacity to provide education and ICT to over 55 children among them 29 girls and 26boys.
We Yone Secondary School
George Brook is located in the green hillside of Freetown. It has an estimated over 27,000 habitants. This school was built from scratch by WYCF in 2016 but needed more space for all the children in this community. Employing 9 teachers working with 392 students – 207 girls, 185 boys –, this school has become a landmark for WYCF’s strong presence in George Brook.
