In 2020, Wegdam Kamabonko High School opened its doors — bringing hope, structure, and opportunity to a remote village in Sierra Leone. Built by the Wegdam Foundation, the school quickly became a success story, welcoming over 400 students from surrounding communities.
Every morning, classrooms fill with eager minds and bright blue uniforms. Local teachers guide their students through lessons that reach far beyond textbooks — teaching resilience, confidence, and the power of knowledge.
But with success comes growth.
To meet the rising demand, we are now expanding the school. A brand-new building is under construction to create space for even more students, more learning, and more dreams.
Thanks to continued support, the vision that started in 2020 is growing — and changing lives, one classroom at a time.
