Success Story:
In Magbele Ferry Village, the local school was in need of basic improvements. The building had seen better days, and conditions were no longer ideal for effective learning. Recognizing this, the Wegdam Foundation supported a renovation project in collaboration with the local community.
The improvements included repairing the roof, fixing classroom walls, adding new desks and chairs, and refreshing the interior with a new coat of paint. Basic sanitation facilities were also added to improve hygiene and comfort for both students and teachers.
The result is a more functional and welcoming school environment. Students now have a better place to learn, and teachers can focus more on their lessons. The renovation has strengthened the connection between the school and the community, showing what’s possible through practical support and local cooperation.
