In the heart of Upper George Brook, passionate teachers and bright students are being held back, not by lack of ambition, but by lack of opportunity. With no access to government salaries or professional development, untrained teachers struggle to stay in classrooms. At the same time, financial hardship forces many gifted students to drop out, continuing a cycle of disadvantage that affects entire families and futures.

This scholarship project by Wegdam Foundation and We Yone Child Foundation is a game-changer. It offers financial support for dedicated teachers to grow professionally and for talented students to access the quality education they deserve.

The costs to provide a three year scholarship to one teacher is €1.000.
