Truck for We Yone Child Foundation

The Wegdam Foundation truck is now officially in use. After delays in shipping and an endlessly bureaucratic registration process, it finally hit the road.

The truck is now actively being used by the Foundation and has already become essential for distributing our aid supplies and supporting the construction of our schools. What previously required hiring external transport, often expensive due to the severe shortage of reliable trucks, can now be organized directly by the Foundation.

We are pleased to announce that the Wegdam Foundation truck has successfully arrived in Sierra Leone. This vehicle will play a vital role in transporting essential goods and humanitarian aid to communities across the country, including those in remote areas that are often difficult to reach due to challenging terrain.

Through our partnership with WYCF, we aim to strengthen local support networks and ensure that help reaches those who need it most.

Our newly acquired truck has been fully branded with the logos of Wegdam Foundation and We Yone Child Foundation!

This truck is donated by the Wegdam Foundation to the We Yone Foundation and is essential for transporting school furniture, agricultural tools, and building materials from Freetown to the inaccessible interior of Sierra Leone.

After a setback with the previous one, we’re excited to share that we’ve finally secured a reliable truck to support our logistics and transport needs in Sierra Leone. This new vehicle will help us move training materials, equipment, and donations safely and efficiently.

Bad news… The new truck for the WYCF did not pass our inspection. It was leaking oil, which was investigated by the seller. The outcome of this investigation is that the engine block is damaged. We will look for an alternative.

Today the Wegdam Foundation bought a new truck for the We Yone Child Foundation.
